What a freakin nightmare! I've never seen a more convoluted ordeal of accessing a car battery in my life. This, plus a range of electrical/digital issues, particularly it's synching issues that drain the battery, or puts it in deep sleep mode when you haven't used the car in a few weeks or less making it hard to start-I mean zero consideration for the consumer! I'm regretting my 2017 Escape. No offence to the uploader and good job explaining that work, but no one should have to go through this when changing the battery themselves. Seriously, I'm regretting owning my Escape.

Woah, you just saved my WHOLE day! Everything I was seeing online, you had to remove the compressor, or the heater hoses "drain coolant". Watched this video. Moved that cable, and repositioned the upper radiator hose and she came right out. It was a bit tight, but it worked. You are the man! Subbed!! Also added to my "The RUclips Garage" playlist! i just changed my rear valve cover gasket and will do the front another time. found that a previous mechanic broke and taped my air tube! fixed that to hopefully.

2005 town and country van 3.3. Misfire code p0204 replaced injector 4. Also, plugs, wires, and ignition coil. Van ran good 10 minutes in residential. Then Misfire again. This time p0206. So, I just replaced fuel injector 6. Same code comes up. Now, I guess it's the wire harness? We'll..... Auto zone and napa don't have it. I have to go to Amazon.

Book says 2.6 hours for this job for the 3.6L with RWD. It is 3.1 hours for the 3.6L with AWD. The 5.7 and 6.4 with RWD are only 0.9 hours but the AWD with the big engine is 2.6 hours.

There are a bunch of videos on this subject, your vehicles part is the one that matches my 2008 Trail Blazer. There are a lot of parts that will work but it involves cutting and splicing wires which makes more of a job of this than it has to be (IMO) so I basically ordered one of the cut and splice parts, sent it back and ordered the one in your parts description, and it was a pull and plug job. Thank you for posting, you not only saved me a ton of cash by DYIing, you saved me a lot of work by getting the exact match part for my car. Thanks again!

Great video. Remove the air vent box first by undoing the two latches on the right and the large clamp on the air intake. Much much more easy to remove the battery clamp bolt. Make sure you do not pinch the wires in the harness at the front when securing the hold down clamp. Always clean the battery terminals before connecting to new battery. They sell brushed for that at auto part places.

Did a similar mod to my '46 Ford Jailbar V8. Removed the valves from 5 cylinders. Blocked off the inlet ports and the valve guides. Discarded the unused Spark Plug leads and drove it on 3 cylinders for the next 18 years. Also ran entirely on diesel, no gas ever.

You only use one of the two non foulers from the package per side of engine. 4 cyl use 1, for v6, v8 use both.

BMW 08 128i car was stalling. Then crank no start. I pulled the ESS sensor the car would start but run rough. Then a few days later it stalls plugged in or out. So I changed the ESS. Still crank no start with it plugged in or out what does that mean when the ESS doesn't respond being plugged in or out and it's a continental ESS. Where else do I look? There are no codes at all.

What about the notch that the Gasket has? should it be aligned with the plastic part? (housing)

As for cleaning the spark plug tubes. I spray Carb cleaner in the tubes without removing the spark plugs, and then I use a turkey baster to suck out all the oil that leaked into the tubes. That way when you do remove the plugs the pure oil will not go into the pistons and may damage some of the emission components.

Well I'm sorry to say that alternator ain't coming out the top I just spent 5 hours trying to get one out the ac lines in a way the mount the alternator mount to is in the way the only way that alternator is coming out is dropping a motor out the bottom just a change that stupid ass alternator
